When & Where Is the Northwest Missouri Steam and Gas Engine Show?

The 62nd Northwest Missouri Steam and Gas Engine Show will take place on Friday, August 15 through Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the association’s showgrounds located at 834 NW Osage Drive, Hamilton, Missouri.

Admission: $5 per day or $10 for a weekend pass (includes a commemorative button).

Children 5 and under are free.

Special events like the Hot Rod Tractor Pull require a separate ticket ($15 for adults, $10 for kids ages 6–12, free for kids 5 & under).

A Step Back in Time

For over six decades, the Steam & Gas Engine Show has transported visitors back to a time when horsepower really meant horses and when engines ran on fire, steam, and ingenuity. This is more than just a display of old machines—it’s living history.

Visitors can watch steam engines huff and puff back to life, see blacksmiths at work, watch demonstrations of sawmilling and threshing, and experience the skills that built rural Missouri. From massive tractors to one-cylinder gas engines, the show offers a fascinating look at the tools and machines that powered farm life for generations.

Daily Highlights & Events

Friday, August 15 Saturday, August 16 and Sunday, August 17 2025

  • 8 AM: Tractor Cruise sign-in (ride begins at 9 AM). Entry is $30 and includes lunch; additional riders are $5 each.
  • 1 PM: Parade of Power through the showgrounds.
  • 6 PM: Uptown Parade in downtown Hamilton.
  • 7 PM: Draft Horse Pull, followed by live music from the Stanley Steamers Band.

  • 10:30 AM: Kiddie Tractor Pull, a crowd favorite for the youngest participants.
  • 1 PM: Parade of Power showcasing antique tractors and engines.
  • 6:30 PM: NWMTTPA Hot Rod Tractor Pull – ticketed separately, this high-energy event is a highlight of the weekend.

  • 9 AM: Community Worship Service, bringing the weekend to a close in true small-town spirit.
